Some things are hard to understand. What is happening in this video is not. Because of multiculturalism - the belief that all cultures are equally just no matter the atrocities they commit - our government no longer believes that unconstitutional activities should be legally prevented. No, what we believe now, apparently, is that any activity which offends a politically correct group is wrong and police power should be used to stop that offense.
The Federal Government refuses to enforce our laws against illegal aliens sneaking into the United States, and now they refuse to enforce the Constitutional right to freedom of assembly and speech if that speech happens to offend a certain religious group.
If Muslims were to be the one's handing out literature on the blessings of enslavement to Sharia Law at a Christian festival I wonder if the police would respond in the same manner. I don't think so. Anyway watch the video then tell me once again about our supposed Constitutional freedoms.
This is not the United States of America I was born into. It is the Peoples Republic of Political Correctness.

A few thoughts...
Any time that we present the Gospel in an antagonistic way, are we helping or harming the cause of Christ?
What would our response be if Muslims came to our church or a Christian function and started passing out literature? I know that I would call the cops to have them dispersed. Do we have the right to limit other people's freedoms under the law and under God (who gives us all the freedom to choose) because we don't like what they say? We know that it's not truth, but they still have rights.
I think that political correctness has gone overboard - to an extent - but honestly, I don't want to be called colored (we all have color) or black (I am caramely brown =-]). I also think that people are pushing & fighting because their rights under the constitution have not been honored. I'm not talking about illegals, they are not citizens and only deserve to be treated humanely and then deported. BUT, we also have to go after the companies/people that hire them.
Dearborn has the largest Middle Eastern population outside of the M.E. In light of the post 9/11 anti-Arab sentiment, the hate crimes, etc. committed against fellow citizens of this country, I guess I can understand the "overprotection" because some of us have not acted Christ-like towards them.
Not sure if the cops had the right to confiscate the video. They're probably afraid of it being posted online (haha)...and/or the videographer was obviously apart of the group.
The red shirt guy in the video said that he wasn't free to pass out info on a public street. That is an exaggeration, which is also called a lie. He could pass out info peacefully, but he wanted to interrupt someone else's party...if he goes back to that same corner when they're not having a public gathering, I don't think that the cops would stop him. Is his right of free speech invading the rights of others to freely assemble? I have the right to swing a knife until it comes into contact with someone else's flesh.
Did this happen, June 23, 2010 or in 2009?
This just happened Friday. I was going to attend the debate with James White in Romulus but it was cancelled since the person White was to debate pulled out due to this insult against Islam.
You can click White in my links list and read what he says about it.
